Jamie Dawson founded Enviro Links Design in 1997. The firm offers integrated and sustainable golf course design solutions based on his skills in Golf Course Architecture, Vegetation Management, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. Jamie graduated as a Landscape Architect in 1980 and is an AILA Registered Landscape Architect; a member of the Environment Institute of Australian and New Zealand since 1987; and a Full Member of SAGCA since 1996.
His design flair and holistic approach is particularly appreciated by established Clubs where a ‘one stop’ service can be provided to master planning, remodelling, safety solutions or other problem solving. This offers cost effective design solutions tailored to suit specific course construction and maintenance budgets, and target markets.
Since 1986, Jamie has undertaken over 150 successful golf course projects ranging from design of new championship courses, entire Course Master Plans, course remodelling, practice facilities or vegetation works. Courses range from some of Australia’s premier Clubs to private/public courses including: The Australian, Royal Canberra, Kingston Heath, Gungahlin Lakes, Cumberland, Federal, Oatlands, Warringah, Yowani, Coffs Harbour, The Villa and Pambula-Merimbula.
Jamie is equally adept at new course development, master planning and feasibility studies. His experience includes concepts for large integrated golf resort/estate projects throughout Australia and south-east Asia. Remodelling and adding new course bunkers (39 No.), tee upgrades with feature stone walls & landscaping and extensive cartpaths by Jamie Dawson in 2008 -2010 at Gungahlin Lakes has resulted in the quality finessing works at the course that Jamie did the original routing plan for in 1992. The members are thrilled that this exciting upgrade has enhanced the course strategically, visually and sustainably and will now ensure its recognition as one of Australia’s finest inland courses.
